The Body Shop Tea Tree Mask

The Body Shop Tea Tree Mask

I had recently seen The Body Shop Tea Tree Mask on Pinterest and was interested in trying it out. As I like using the Tea Tree Face Wash. So on a recent trip to The Body Shop, I picked up a tub.

If you’re new to my blog my skin type is oily/combination so I tend to use spot treatments and was using a clay mask. But the biggest issue I have with the clay mask and spot treatments is that they can dry the skin out. Then I can have a red mark, with dry skin around it. So I was on the lookout for something that wouldn’t have that effect and help my skin out.

How did it work?

Since using this mask, which is only a week, I haven’t had that problem. I’m actually having fewer breakouts than usual. I had a few dry patches on my chin that just wouldn’t clear up. But after a few days of using this, on the area only, they were gone and I haven’t had the same problem since. I’ve now used it as directed as I don’t have any problem areas.

I like to use it troublesome areas or breakouts as well as a face mask. It works really well for that. It’s a smooth creamy consistency that applies very easily. You only need to apply a thin layer and I leave it for five to ten minutes before washing it off. It doesn’t dry and leaves my skin feeling moisturised and refreshed. I like the tea tree scent and it is a lot milder than I thought it would be. When I’ve applied it and letting it do its job I don’t constantly smell the scent.

They recommend that you use it up to twice a week. At that rate, this is going to last me ages.  It is priced at £10 but I bought it with another product during an in-store offer and got it for a little less. The Body Shop are great for offers and don’t conduct animal testing which is important to me.

This has now become part of my skincare routine and I can’t believe I didn’t try it before. I am so impressed with the few products I’ve tried from the range that I now want to try the entire range. If your skin type is similar to mine I’d really recommend trying this mask.

Do you have any recommendations on what to try next from The Body Shop?
