The season has changed and it’s time for a new Autumn Edit Beauty. As well at my nails (see previous post here), I like to change-up my other beauty products when the nights are drawing in, the days are getting colder and the heating starts going on. Including, what I put on my skin, what lip colour I wear and which fragrance I reach for.
Switching from Seaweed Oil-Control Lotion to the Vitamin C Glow Protect Lotion
In the Summer I’m looking for oil-control, but in the Autumn/Winter I’m looking for something more moisturising and this does a great job. A little goes a long way.
Not only does it moisturise my skin but it doesn’t make it oily. A lot of moisturisers I’ve tried actually make my skin feel horrid, produce oil and make my skin break out. So, I was naturally a bit nervous when I tried this out for the first time. But it’s now a firm favourite.
The fragrance in like a synthetic orange. Not my cup of tea but once I’ve applied it I don’t notice the smell anymore.
Switching from Key Lime Pie to Whipstick
The Key Lime Pie Lip Balm is great for the Spring and Summer but I prefer the warmer fragrance of Whipstick during the colder months. Whipstick is also a richer formula and great for preventing dry lips.

Switching from floral and fruity fragrances to warmer scents
I love wearing these fragrances alone or mixing them together to create a different one. Mango and Peach smell just like the real thing and are great on their own or with something such as Rain.
During the colder months, I like to warm things up a bit when it comes to the fragrance I choose. I loved Thunderstorm before that ran out and I went and bought Rain to try it out. It’s fresher than Thunderstorm and great with everything I’ve tried so far.
I bought Paperback last month to try it out when I bought it for a friend’s Birthday. It seemed like the perfect gift for a book lover and yes, it smells like a Paperback book.
They have an offer where you can buy two for £25. Normally £15 each. I use this offer when I buy them.
It’s got a nice note of vanilla and isn’t overpowering. I’ve worn it with Rain, alone, or with Moonbeam. Which surprised me but I liked the result when I tried it.

Soap & Glory Matte-Lip
I don’t wear matte lip products a lot as I find them too drying. But this is a nice compromise between the two. If you don’t like any shine to your matte lip look then this might not be your cup of tea. But I really liked how comfortable it was to wear. (£3.50).
Essence Long-Lasting Lipstick
Not what I’d call very long-lasting but I love the colour. It’s a lovely mauve-like pink. Great for every day.

This is the darkest everyday lip colour that I would normally wear. I bought this recently and it’s very 90’s nostalgic. Wears well with a smooth and easy-to-wear formula.(£2.50).
